DIY Access – Setup Fee
One-time $50 setup and training fee covers full instruction on how to operate the system. This fee is included in all top-tier and subscription packages. Once trained, DIY members can operate without needing to pay this fee again.
Who owns the content?
Clients own 100% of their footage. A media release is required, which grants Lightbox Collective the right to post or feature portions of the podcast on Lightbox-owned channels for promotional and portfolio purposes.
How many people can record at once?
The studio seats and records up to 1-4 guests simultaneously with the main set up, and 1-2 people for the corner set up. Additional seats can be configured if needed! We have had up to 8 people and have lots of additional seating.
Do extended-hour sessions have an additional fee?
Yes. Any booking outside standard hours (before 9 AM or after 5 PM) includes a $50 extended-access fee.
Do I need to bring any equipment?
No. The studio is fully equipped with Shure SM7B microphones, Sony FX5 Mark II cameras (5-camera setup), Bose QuietComfort headphones, a Rodecaster Pro 2, iMac recording system, and Nanlite lighting controlled via iPad.
What amenities are available?
Water and coffee are included. Premium beverages are available on an honor system. Restrooms and mirrors are available on-site.
What are your operating hours?
The studio operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Extended sessions between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM are available seven days a week with advance notice.
How long are sessions?
All sessions are booked in 2-hour blocks. Additional time can be added in 1-hour increments, for $50, subject to availability.
How do I book a session?
Sessions are reserved based on availability. A confirmed booking requires payment or deposit.
What is your cancellation policy?
7+ days in advance: Full refund or free reschedule. 5–7 days: 50% refund. 3–5 days: 25% refund. Within 72 hours: No refund.
What if I need to reschedule?
7+ days in advance: Free reschedule. 5–7 days: $50 rescheduling fee. 3–5 days: $75 rescheduling fee. Within 72 hours: $100 rescheduling fee.
Is training included?
A one-time $50 onboarding session is required for DIY users. This fee is waived in full-service and subscription packages.
Can I customize lighting and backdrops?
Yes. You can choose from multiple backdrops and lighting presets to match your brand or style.
Is the system easy to use?
Yes. It is designed for both professionals and beginners. DIY users receive one-time training.
Can I livestream my podcast?
Yes. Live streaming is supported using the YoloLiv Extreme system upon request.
How do I receive my files?
All files are provided on a client-supplied hard drive at the end of the session or after editing is complete.
Do you provide editing and post-production?
Yes. Full-service packages include editing, audio mastering, clip creation, and platform-ready exports. DIY users can add these services at any time. One round of revisions is included in full-service packages. Additional revisions can be added.
What is the turnaround time for edited content?
Standard delivery is 2–5 business days. Rush delivery may be available upon request.
